Sweet Cloche!

In my last post I teased there was another stamp set that coordinates with the Classic Cloche products. Here it is! Sweet & Treats is an adorable whimsy set that coordinates with the Cloche Dies.

SWEETS & TREATS PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

This stamp set has 12 stamps: 7 line-art images that are perfect for coloring, especially using your Blends, and 5 adorable greetings in a whimsy casual font. I love “Bring on Christmas” and also love the pie stamp and the greeting about being thankful–perfect for Thanksgiving! While some of the images (the candy apple and Christmas cake) are seasonal, you can definitely use this set all year. The cupcake is so sweet, as is the whimsy heart.

Here’s a card I made with this set and Cloche dies — and of course, it’s perfectly paired with the Be Dazzling Sale-A-Bration paper!

Other products used:

Cloche Shaker!

This week’s blog posts will feature the Cloche products from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. This line of products might get overlooked because there are so many beautiful things in the Mini (plus it’s Sale-A-Bration!), but anytime Stampin’ Up! offers a stamp set (or two–see Thursday’s post for more on that), plus coordinating dies, PLUS, an item like a shaker dome that fits in the shape of the main image…well, sign me up.

CLOCHE SHAKER DOMES
Cloche Shaker Domes

The Cloche shaker domes put the final touch on your project. They are $7.50 for a pack of 10. Fill them with images from the stamp set, or really anything? Flowers,  trees, panoramas, and more– your imagination is the only limit.

Here’s a card I made using the Classic Cloche bundle (stamps and dies), Misty Moonlight cardstock and Misty Moonlight patterned paper from the Whimsy & Wonder 12 x 12 Specialty DSP. The back of my Cloche snowy scene uses Garden Green snow pattern, also from Whimsy & Wonder.

Classic Cloche

Cloche: /klōSH/ noun

  1. a bell- or dome-shaped cover:
    • a glass or plastic cover used to protect small outdoor plants from frost.
    • Also: a similar cover used indoors to display or protect ornamental objects
  2. a woman’s close-fitting hat usually with deep rounded crown and narrow brim

Yes, I had to look this up…mainly to learn how to pronounce it. The definition was obvious, but I didn’t know it was also a hat. How fun! Putting the dictionary aside, let’s take a couple of days to look at this group of products.

The Classic Cloche stamp set is a set of 13 with two- (or three-) step stamping to fill in a winter scene or wintery bird scene. There are three sentiments that are beautifully designed. And of course, a glass dome stamp, bottom, knob, and snow. Love it!

CLASSIC CLOCHE PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH)

Pair this stamp set with the Cloche dies and it takes it to a new level. The dies are a set of 12, but cut out a total of 22 images: a bell-shaped cover, some pieces to create a snowy scene (including one that outlines the house stamp), two birds to cut out the birds from the stamp, and tree limbs and Christmas trees.

CLOCHE DIES

Here’s a card I made with this bundle. LOVE!

Product Used in Samples:

  • Classic Cloche stamp set, Cloche Dies
  • Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, Basic White, and coordinating inks, and Garden Green Ink
  • Peaceful Prints 12 x 12 (from Sale-A-Bration offering)

Happy New Mini!

Happy Launch Day y’all! Today is launches the new July-December Mini Catalog offered by Stampin’ Up! For the past few days I’ve been showing sneak peaks of products from the new Sale-A-Bration catalog that is also being offered, and for the next couple of days I’ll be sharing some cards featuring new products from the new J-D Mini Catalog, otherwise known as the Holiday Mini.

First up – pumpkins! This gorgeous bundle is called Pretty Pumpkins and includes a stamp set and set of 10 dies. The dies are what sold me–especially the tall lacey one. So pretty!

Other products used:

  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, and Basic White Cardstock; Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.
  • Ink: Cajun Craze
  • Other: 3/8″ Fine Art Gold Ribbon

Such a simple card, but oh, so pretty!!

If you don’t have a catalog, contact me and I’ll pop one in the mail to you. Happy to pop one in the mail. In the meantime, you can start viewing both immediately on my online store:

SAB Paper!

Tomorrow’s the big day! The new July-December Mini Catalog (Holiday Mini) goes live and I cannot WAIT. Once again, Stampin’ Up! has created an amazing book for us with beautiful products as well as pages and pages of inspiration.

Also going live tomorrow is the new Sale-A-Bration (SAB) brochure. This used to be a once-a-year sale, but for the first time SU is offering SAB a 2nd time with the release of the Holiday Mini. I love SAB time — spend $50 (or $100) and you get something additional. You’ll be spending anyway, especially gearing up for holiday projects, so I’m so thankful for the 2nd SAB offering this year.

Today’s post focuses on the some of the paper offerings in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Y’all KNOW I love love love SU’s paper. Well, here we go! Christmas paper that is perfect for all of your holiday cards and handmade items, and GORGEOUS chucky sparkly paper. Holy. So I will tell you off the bat that this 6 x 6 glittery gorgeousness is another product that has limited quantities. NOTE: I should have included in yesterday’s Sheep post that the Sheep Dies are also limited.

What does that mean? Well, since SAB is only two months long, during this round of Sale-A-Bration, some products will only be available while supplies last. This means that once they’re gone, they’re gone for good! The Sale-A-Bration products with limited supply include:

  • 156629 Be Dazzling 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty Paper
  • 156600 Sheep Dies
  • 156618 Summer Shadows Dies

Okay, I know, get to the samples….These cards use the SAB paper called Peaceful Prints.

It is 12 x 12 in size and you’ll see tomorrow it coordinates with the Peaceful Deer Bundle coming out in the Mini. You don’t need the bundle though to make quick, beautiful Christmas cards.

You can see on this card I simply used the DSP as a background, used a strip of the Be Dazzling DSP, the more of the Peaceful Prints DSP, and finished it off with a sentiment. There is a stamp set in the Mini coming out called Encircled in Warmth, which coordinates with the Encircled in Beauty Dies in the Annual Catalog. Here’s the full set I made using each of the designs:

The cards came together so quickly thanks to this gorgeous paper! Be sure to add them to your wish list as you get ready for ordering tomorrow! You can place an order any time through my online store. Remember, use my August Host code if your order is under $150: PKSW7T4D. Many thanks!

2 days and a Wake-up!

It’s August 1st! That means only two more days until we Sale-A-Brate. Today’s sneak peak is a card made with the Counting Sheep stamp set and the coordinating Sheep Dies. Every Sale-A-Bration there is usually a cute animal set. Last spring it was the Donkeys, and I wasn’t a huge fan, but these sheep are pretty cute. And I am a sucker for coordinating dies and these dies are terrific. They have a great fence, adorable sun and clouds (that could also be used for grass), and cute birthday things. Each item is free with a $50 order starting August 3rd.

I paired these items with the Give it a Whirl Dies that you may have missed in the Annual Catalog. This was my first time playing with these dies so I will be doing some more cards later to keep practicing. They aren’t hard to use, but I’ve learned a few tricks even with this first card. More on all that in a future post.

Patterned paper is from Pattern Party DSP pack (from Stampin’ Rewards) and the fence is from the Beauty of the Earth DSP pack.

In addition to getting these Sheep for free, there’s another huge promotion going on during Sale-A-Bration.

If you look through the mini catalog, you may think “oh man, I have a huge wish list.” Well, we have you covered there too. Sign-up to be a discount shopper under me during Sale-A-Bration and not only will you receive $125 in free product (you only pay $99 for your kit, plus tax), but you also get free shipping on your kit, AND you get to pick a free bundle! Fun Folds

Hello, welcome to the Journey to Silver Elite Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators with a common goal to support each other as we build our businesses. This month our theme is “Fun Folds.” If you’re following the blog hop, you arrived here from Libby Stamps — isn’t her project amazing? Enjoy my post, and click the arrow at the bottom of the post to keep “hopping” along to Crafty Karen Designs (and the full line-up of all the projects can be found at the bottom of this post as well).

Here’s my project: Sweet Strawberry Vertical Trifold Window Card:

Supplies: (Include product number):

  • Stamp Set(s): Sweet Strawberry (154394, $18)
  • Card Stock: Thick Basic White (159229), Basic White (159276), Real Red (102482)
  • Designer Series Paper: Pattern Party DSP (155426, $18 with Stampin’ Rewards)
  • Stamp Pad(s) and Ink(s): Real Red (147084), Momento Black, Granny Apple Green (147095), Garden Green (147089), Daffodil Delight (147094), Mango Melody (147093)
  • Dies and Embossing Folder(s): Layering Diorama Dies (155565, $29)
  • Embellishments: 2021-2023 In-Color Jewels (155571, $7)
  • Tools: Strawberry Builder Punch (154239, $18)

Measurements:

  • Thick White card base – 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”
  • Real Red – 4” x 10 ½”, scored at 5 ¼”
  • DSP: 5 ¼” x 4”, 3 ¾” x 5”, ½” x 3 ¾”, two scrap pieces for the Diorama
  • Basic White: 3 ¾” x 5”, scraps to stamp and punch strawberries, leaves, and flowers

Instructions:

  1. Fold and burnish the Thick White card base. Adhere first DSP layer to the front of the White Card base and cut out the diorama shape out of the front to make a window. Note: if you are looking at the diorama set, if the smallest shape is #1 and the largest is #7, I used #’s 2-4. For the front window, you want the largest one of those 3, so #4.
  1. Fold and burnish both smaller Real Red card base. This will be the “inner” card. Add adhesive to the back of this “card base” and adhere to the inside of the white card base with the fold at the bottom and centered.
  1. Fold the inside card in and fold the top down so you can look through the “window” onto the inner card front. Stamp two strawberries and tops, 5 leaves, and 3 flowers. Cut out two diorama shapes with different patterned DSP (I used #’s 2 and 3 of the set). Embellish inside “front” with diorama shapes, strawberries, leaves and flowers so that the diorama shapes “peak” through the window. Stamp Just For You in bottom corner of the inner red card front.
  1. Open the Red inner card and decorate the bottom piece with more strawberries, leaves, and flowers.
  1. Finally, stamp your sentiment and decorate the “inside” of the card with the skinny DSP strip.
  1. Fold the whole card back up. Stamp greeting “Hello There” on small piece of scrap white and adhere to the front.
  1. Add In-Color jewels to front sentiment banner, and to the flowers inside the window.

Lots of options with this layout! I hope you are inspired by my projects and those of my fellow Demonstrators. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from blog to blog, or you can click the arrow below to move to the Karen’s blog.

Don’t forget to leave comments because I love hearing from you.  And, if you’re curious to hear what more I need to achieve my business goal, please contact me!

Shaded Summer & Summer Shadows

Summer is going so quickly, and my family is enjoying every minute. When I’m not at work or at the pool with my family, I’m stamping – of course! And what a better set to use last night than Shaded Summer from the Annual Catalog.

This beautiful stamp set only has 3 images (2 floral bouquets, and one leaf), but 7 sentiments. The sentiments are each mixed font with all caps and script and they include heartfelt sayings. I especially like “May the good you do come back to you.” I send a LOT of thank you cards and this is a wonderful saying that is a different from anything else in my stamp collection.

SNEAK PEAK! To make this stamp set even better, Stampin’ Up! Is offering a coordinating die set as one of the Level 2 freebies in the Aug 3-Sept 30 Sale-A-Bration suite of products. This set just got twice as beautiful!

The die set includes 11 dies: 3 dies cut out the images of the stamp set, and there are 5 flower dies and 3 leaf dies. One nice feature about the flowers and leaves is there is a solid layer and a more detailed layer you can overlay on the solid. This will work for each big flower and the big leaves.

Here are two samples made with this bundle.

The best part about this die set is it will be FREE with a minimum order of $100 starting August 3rd. The Shaded Summer stamp set is $23, so simply adding this stamp set to your cart will get you a quarter of the way there. More sneak peaks to come–be sure to mark your calendar for August 3rd, and if you’d like a Holiday Mini Catalog and SAB Brochure (both start Aug 3), reach out to me!

Happy Stamping! Kelly

Product Used in Samples:

Simply Elegant, Simply Stunning!

The Simply Elegant Suite in the Annual Catalog is one that caught my eye from the beginning, but since it isn’t typically my “style”, I kept moving along. But it kept calling my name and when my monthly class members asked to do a class with it, that was enough for me to say yes, and boy am I grateful for them. The stamp set, Elegant Said, is versatile, pretty, and has great sentiments. The elegant tag punch is a great addition to your punch collection, and the Simply Elegant 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper. Well. Y’all know how I feel about Stampin’ Up!’s designer series paper, but this paper is now ranked one of my top 10 favorites. It is simply stunning.

Here’s a card I made using the stamp set and DSP.

The card base is Smoky Slate cut 6 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored on the long side at 4 1/4″. You take a piece of DSP measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and adhere it to the inside of the front flap to make a full card front, and that glorious foiled DSP will shine through when it is opened. (This project also uses the Simply Elegant Trim and the inside also uses the Word Wishes dies and A Wish for Everything Stamp Set.)

Below are more projects I made with this Suite:
