Memorial Day Gratitude

Today I’m hopping with my NC Demos Group, and the theme is “new kids on the block” — new product, new stamps, celebrating the new catalog. This week I’ll be featuring the new Beautiful Balloons bundle and since it’s Memorial Day weekend, I’m feeling inspired by the holiday, honoring those that have served in the military, showing my gratitude for service, and using the colors of the American flag.

I made two cards, similar to each other, because after I finished the first I wasn’t 100% happy with it. Let’s take a look. Here’s card #1:

Here’s the inside:

It’s fine, enough, I guess, but I didn’t love the placement of the stars. So, here’s a 2nd try:

And the inside:

The second one is my favorite. Which one do you like better?

Both of these projects use the same products, including the new Beautiful Balloons Bundle, Basics 3D Embossing Folders, Boho Blue color cardstock, and new DSP…a must-have DSP pack for your craft room, it’s called Delightfully Eclectic and it’s a mega pack of pure pattern bliss! I will be featuring this DSP in future posts. Full shopping list can be found below.

  1. Kelly – Happy Memorial Day! Thank you so much for honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Your cards are awesome! And, honestly, I like both of them. If I had to pick a favorite, I would choose the second card you shared.

  2. OMG!!!! I love your use of products to make a patriotic card. I will be casing this!

  3. Such a perfect card for the holiday, Kelly! And I really like both versions of it. I don’t have that stamp set but think I have a couple of retired sets that might work!
