Today is my brother’s birthday and I sent him this card using the Beautiful Balloons bundle. I’ve been working with this bundle all week, and this project I made it just a little bit more masculine with my color combo. Let’s take a look:
Just like my post on Monday, I decided to feature the fringe die in this bundle. To make this card, I used 3/4″ strips of the Neutrals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. Sidenote! Don’t you love that our Neutrals color family now has two blues (Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight) as well as Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow? I love love these colors. Anyone that knows me, knows I love Navy — I wear it almost daily, and often in place of black. I love the pop of the Blackberry and the Mossy Meadow too.
Okay, back to the card. So I simply ran those strips through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine using the fringe die from the bundle. This one:
Layer that up on a Boho Blue cardstock layer that measures 4″ x 5 1/4″. Add some balloons and some sentiments and voila! Quick and easy.
Because my card base is Night of Navy, I added a Basic White layer to the inside and decorated with a strip of scrap Blackberry Bliss DSP — which I got from decorating the flap of my envelope:
