Tools of the Trade

It is the last Sunday of January (where did the month go?!) so I’m hopping with my fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends from North Carolina and today we are focusing on the tools of our trade. Today’s project used many of Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful tools and also features the new Cutest Cows bundle. As always with a blog hop, you’ll want to “hop along” to the next Demonstrator to see her amazing projects. Here’s my project:

The Cutest Cows bundle is the cutest! I love it and can’t wait to play with it more. For this project, I used a yellow plaid from the Bee Mine DSP, added a red postage layer made with the Perennial Postage dies, and the made a little scene with the Cutest Cows stamps and cow builder punch. The sentiment is made using the new Mini Alphabet dies.

This is where the tools come in! To stamp the grass, I masked the sunflowers and the watering can using the Masking Paper:

Then, when I die cut the letters, I used the adhesive sheet behind the black to make the letters like a sticker. I love adhesive sheets because they make it SO much easier to adhere to your card — especially when working with such small pieces!

A snap! I popped up the cow and the white layer using one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! tools: dimensionals. Let’s take a closer look:

And here is the inside:

Now, let’s Hop!

As always, I’m grateful to you for stopping by. Now, let’s see what the others have done with this challenge! Click the button below to hop over to Frances Wagner’s Blog!

Happy Stamping! Kelly

  1. Kelly, this is an adorable card. I too love the Mini Alphabet dies. You can do so much with them. Thanks for sharing.
