Love You More Stencils

A bunch of papercrafters (not just Stampin’ Up! demonstrators) are gathering together to spread the love on the social media every Friday today through the end of February. If you want to follow along, be sure to follow me on Instagram! This week (week 4)’s theme is Stencils.

I used two stencils.

The first is a small dot pattern from a retired Decorative Mask pack called Adorning Designs. I ink-blended that with Berry Burst ink on my Bubble Bath layer. Then in Bubble Bath ink, I stenciled the hearts using a panel from the Saying Thanks Card kit. I didn’t have a heart stencil, so made one! Here is that card kit, and you can see which panel I used:

I removed all the little die cut hearts and used the negative as a stencil with my ink blending brushes. Here is my card:

Then, I added a greeting, some hearts (from the Radiating Stitches Dies), and some gingham ribbon and embellishments.

What stencils do you have? Do you have ink blending brushes? Stampin’ Up’s are amazing if you don’t, you can Shop the Supplies below or visit my Online Store.

I love how this turned out. Every time I use stencils and do ink-blending, I fall in love with the technique all over again. I really need to do more of it! My go-to for adding backgrounds or textures is designer series paper (patterned paper) and while that does a beautiful job, the last 3 posts I haven’t used any patterned paper – (I know, what!?) – and I’m liking the switch…but don’t worry, more DSP is coming soon.

Happy stamping! Kelly
