Happy Sunday! I’ve been spending some of the Superbowl time stamping, of course! I thought it would be a great time to do a Case the Catty Sunday, since I haven’t in many weeks, AND, time to start making Valentines for my 3 special guys as I like to make my husband and both sons special Valentine cards each year.
This week’s CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge (CTC456) is to case a project in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I’ve chosen this project:

I actually love every project on this page, but this one with the three different strips of DSP immediately drew my eye and I thought it would be perfect for me to showcase the Rock & Roll suite.
I’m starting my special Valentine making with my youngest son. He has been learning to play the bass since last summer so of course when the Jan-April mini catalog went live, the Rock & Roll Suite was one of the first on my list to purchase. I simply love it, and made this special Valentine just for him.

I love the DSP in this suite, so wanted to feature it using this card sketch.

I love this DSP — and it screams for me to add a “pop of color” to it. Given the occasion…red it is! The red hearts have been sitting on my desk from the Adoring Hearts bundle. The star of this card is the guitar!

The sentiment is from the Bee My Valentine stamp set. The “buzz” reminded me of the buzz from the amp he uses when playing his bass, and it fit perfectly on the double banner die in the Rock Star Dies.
Let’s take a look at the inside. I decided to include a panel of the guitar pattern on the left…because I just needed more DSP on this card…and it’s guitars, of course!

The sentiment is from the Bee My Valentine stamp set again (as is the heart on the envelope in the picture above).
Love how this turned out, and can’t wait to give it to him on Wednesday!
Happy Stampin! Kelly
