Kylie Bertucci’s Blog Hop – August 2022 Customer Thank Yous

Another month has gone by and summer is officially over for the Taranto family. My boys start school tomorrow, and I’m a little sad. But, we’re celebrating today because today is my birthday!! I had to post a birthday-like card, a celebration on paper for my monthly customers.

This post is part of the Kylie and Bruno Bertucci Demonstrator Training Program Blop Hop. If you’d like to see other customer thank you cards from other Demonstrators, be sure to follow the Blog Hop Roll Call at the bottom of this post.

Now onto the card. This card showcases a bunch of my favorites. I’m of course using Designer Series Paper (DSP, and my favorite product by Stampin’ Up!), and the perfect DSP for this occasion? Celebrate Everything!

This DSP is only available with Host Rewards – it is in the July-Dec Mini catalog. I LOVE LOVE this paper! I also included my favorite color (green) and focused on Granny Apple Green – a bright, sunny, celebratory green. Finally, OF COURSE, coffee. Coffee is what keeps me going, and it is one of my most favorite things.

Here’s the card:

This mug is from the Speedy Recovery stamp set. [It’s probably supposed to be tea…but it’s a mug of liquid, I’m callin’ it coffee today!]

Thank you to my customers and downline who are so amazing and keep me always thinking about what I can show them next! If you’d like to be one of my customers, visit my online store and place an order! I’d be grateful for your business. If you’re interested in joining the Late Night Stampers team, please join — we’d love to stamp with you!

Thanks for looking, and keep hopping along by following the Roll Call below!

Happy stamping! Kelly

Shaded Summer Masking Technique

Today I’m participating in a Blog Hop with my Stamping with Friends group and our challenge was to use the masking technique. Take a look and then please click through my fellow demonstrators to see their lovely creations! Roll Call is at the bottom of this post. My project uses the Shaded Summer stamp set and Summer Shadows Dies, and of course, the new Masking Paper!

The background is made using the new Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. To achieve the “white” sections so I could stamp the floral image in black, I cut 3 of the dis that cuts out that floral image out of masking paper, placed those “shadows” on my white cardstock. Then, I stenciled using two stencils, and then removed the masking paper and voila! Three white spaces for me to stamp.

Here’s a look at the supplies used:

(note: I decided to use black ink for the flower instead of color it with markers, so markers were not used).

Here’s a photo of me prepping my white cardstock:

Not sure if you can see, but my shadow masks are underneath the Decorative Mask stencil:

Then I added the color using Blending Brushes:

Then I removed the masking paper. Check out the video:

From there, I stamped the flowal image in black ink, added “Hello There” also in black. Layered on Soft Succulent Cardstock and then added little leaves cut from Soft Succulent designer series paper. I trimmed off any leaves that were hanging over the edge, and then added my soft succeulent open weave ribbon and tag. Adhere that to Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

That layer is popped up onto my soft sea form card front (that I had layered with black and white plaid from the Rustic Harvest DSP and Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to hop along using the Roll Call below.

Happy Stamping! Kelly

CTCS – Christmas Barn meets pg 43 (Annual Catalog)

Last day of July = last day of my “Christmas in July” daily posts, and I love that it falls on a Sunday because I love to CASE the Catalog on Sundays (CTCS). This week’s CASE the Catty Sunday challenge is to “case a Christmas Tree project from the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue, the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue or the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.” I chose a card on page 43 on the Annual Catalog:

Here’s my version:

The CASE I made is very true to the original project. The tree I used is pretty skinny, so I have a little forest, with only one tree decorated. How do you make a shaker? Easy peasy! Use the Layering Circle Dies, I created a window on the card front. Adhere a window sheet behind that, block off the window with foam adhesive strips, add some beads, sequins, whatever will shake, and adhere the front to the card front. Note, the new “fancy ” sequins in the Annual Catalog are SO pretty, but I do not have them. Using the retired Sequins for Everything.

I like how this card turned out. Subconsciously, I think I’ve been feeling “summery” because I have used Polished Pink in a few of my Christmas projects the past couple of weeks, and this one is the most summery with the soft gray of the Smoky Slate and the pink. Love how this turned out.

I also LOVE this Gingham Cottage DSP — check it out if you haven’t already!

I have a feeling over the next couple of months you’re going to be seeing a TON more of this patterned paper.

Here’s some close up’s of my card:

You can’t really tell on the screen, but the little stars on the Christmas tree were diecut out of the Snowy White velvet sheets and I added a little Wink of Stella too.

Thank you for following along the past two weeks with all of these Christmas projects. I’m looking forward to showcasing some non-holiday cards in the coming weeks!

Happy week, and happy stamping! Kelly

Sweet Candy Canes

Going back to the products in the Sweetest Christmas suite of products and today I’m focusing on the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle. I featured this bundle in a post on the 2nd day of “Christmas in July” so how fitting to use it again on the 2nd to last day of Christmas in July. This time I wanted to try the striped background die in the Sweet Candy Canes bundle:

This background die measures 4″ x 5 1/4″ and paired with the Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 DSP, you get a perfect background! The reason I made two cards is, I die cut the striped background die in Basic White and Garden Green, and then used the cut-out pieces to fill in some of the negative piece. On the red card, I used white layering pieces and on the green card I used thin green layering pieces on the white background. Here’s a closer look:

I added a little ribbon and two little evergreen (or are they mistletoe?) to the candy canes and embossed the banner and greeting from the Christmas Banners bundle in white embossing powder. So pretty – and these came together pretty quickly!

Stop by tomorrow for the last post in my Christmas in July series! Good night! Kelly

Caroling Mouse Rejoices

Today’s project uses the Caroling Mice stamp set–a Host Rewards stamp set that I posted a project a few days ago–only it’s one mouse that’s caroling the song O’ Holy Night. Here’s the stamp set:

This stamp set is darling — and it is a great one to color. I used my Stampin’ Blends of course, my current favorite mode of coloring.

I also used the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder for the background and a Christmas lyric (from O’ Holy Night) as the greeting. This greeting comes from the Hope & Peace stamp set and for this coming Christmas season, in my opinion, is a must-have!

Here’s the full card:

Love this one. Hope you do too! Happy Stamping! Kelly

More Snowman Magic

The Snowman Magic bundle is so much fun, and I love pairing it with Polished Pink! For this card, I wanted to feature the snowflake frame die that comes in this bundle.

I also love the whimsical images and dies – the trees, this adorable bunny, and the tiny bird: so cute! I didn’t even use the snowman…maybe next time.

The Snowman Magic stamp set also has a variety of greetings, all in a clean, sans serif font. Just so much fun. A favorite product is the White Glittered Organdy ribbon–it has tiny pink glitter bits in it, and it’s just perfect for a project like this.

Three more days of Christmas in July and still so many products to feature. I will say crafting and blogging daily has really got my creative juices flowing — I love to stamp, and love Stampin’ Up!

Happy Stamping! Kelly

Perfect Pomegranate

Let’s be real: this stamp set called Perfect Pomegranate, a host reward in the Sale-A-Bration offering, did not really wow me at all. Here it is:

Well, I earned it when I placed my “big” order of new products from the July-Dec Mini catalog and it is SO pretty and I’m thrilled to have it. I look forward to making more with this sneakily beautiful set. Here’s a first project with Perfect Pomegranate:

A simple layout, I stamped the flowers and leaves on the Glimmer 12 x 12 Specialty Paper to spice it up a bit. I also used the new Very Best Trio Punch to add some decorative design to the greeting label–as well as the new Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin-Edged Ribbon. SO pretty!! Here’s a close-up:

One thing I love about this stamp set is it is a “Distinktive” stamp set and the images look so real. I love how much dimension the pomengranate looks. And, why pomegranates? They are a symbol of Christmas in Greece. Love this!

Enjoy, and happy stamping! Kelly

Christmas Place Setting

Okay, I have to admit…I’m a bit ready to be done with Christmas in July. I’m having fun making these projects, and I LOVE Christmas (it is my favorite), but today it was 105 degrees and it is SUMMER, so I’m about done. But, a commitment’s a commitment…so I’ll keep going ’til July 31. To that end, tonight I’m switchin’ it up a little and I made two projects that would be perfect for your Christmas dinner table at each place setting.

The Cracker Treat Box is a new die set by Stampin’ Up! and you’re going to love it. My sample above used two to make it a little longer than the actual size.

The Cracker Treat box uses the Sale-A-Bration Silver & Gold DSP, as well as the poinsettia from the Merriest Moments bundle and the saying is from the Sweet Candy Canes. I love how this turned out.

The place card, also used the Merriest Moments bundle. I die cut / embossed the background, and scored in the middle to make a self-standing card that you can place at someone’s place at the table.

Kind of fun. More tomorrow! Kelly

Boughs of Holly

Today’s projects feature the GORGEOUS (yes, this calls for all shouty-caps) Boughs of Holly 12 x 12 designer series paper.

HOLY! This paper is so so pretty, take a look:

Making this card it was really really hard to choose which pattern. I made the silver-toned card first:

I used the big poinsettias for the background, and small poinsettia pattern for under the Painted Label circle. I chose silver embossing and silver pearls because I felt like the Evening Evergreen glimmer paper had silver glitter in it vs gold. Here’s a close-up:

Then, I wanted to see what the card design would look like with Gold ribbon, embossing, and pearls, so I used the small poinsettia pattern paper and the gold glimmer paper from the 3-pack. I also used the Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin-Edged Ribbon. SO PRETTY!

Here’s the gold version:

Which one do you like better? I think I like the gold, but honestly, in person they are both stunning. And how easy–this would make a quick and easy Christmas card!

Hope you had a good Monday. See you tomorrow! Kelly

CTCS: Merriest Moments meets pg 16 (SAB)

Happy Sunday folks–another whirlwind of a weekend and even so, this weekend I was able to spend a bunch of time in my craft room. So much fun. I hope you also found some time to do something this weekend to refresh and feed your soul!

This week’s CASE the Catty Sunday Challenge is to CASE a project from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I chose a project on page 16 and am using the Merriest Moments bundle from the July-Dec Mini catalog (a carryover from last year’s Mini). Here’s the project I CASE’d:

I changed the color combination slightly because I was using poinsettias, but otherwise, it’s a true CASE:

I love these colors — the Parakeet Party with the Granny Apple Green paired with the Petal Pink is such a soft fresh color combination. Love how this turned out.

Why don’t you play along! This week, take a few minutes for yourself, find a project in the Sale-A-Bration brochure and copy it. Bonus points if it’s a holiday card (who’s playing along with me this month for Christmas in July!?)

Happy Stamping! Kelly
