He’s the Man

This weekend I’m joining Stampin’ With Friends Blog Hop and the theme is masculine cards…so of course, I pulled the new He’s the Man Suite off the shelf. Take a look at the two projects I made, and be sure to scroll to the end of this post so you can continue along in the Blog Hop!

Here’s the full suite of products. I have a LOT of men in my life and this suite of products is just perfect to be able to use for all of them. It has outdoor/camping images, BBQ, tools, classic cars, and more. The dies are mostly labels and I love the argyle dies, as well as the little flags you can use to make an award ribbon.

It has a great color combination as well.

For my projects today, I focused on the Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, and Basic Black:

Let’s take a closer look. First let’s look at the tall Slimline card. I made this card for my big brother. He turned 52 on June 1, so naturally the greeting that includes “to a classic” was fitting!

Non-suite items I used were the Slim Card Dies to create the chevron pattern, Scalloped Contours Dies, and the Charming Sentiments stamp set.

I used the He’s All That bundle paired with the new Decorative Circle punch to make the focal point on the front of the card. Here’s a close-up:

I stamped the car stamp once in Early Espresso and then again on a scrap piece of Basic White in Cajun Craze and fussy cut out the car to pop up on top.

While making the slimline card, I had some extra product leftover, so decided to use up the extra chevron piece along with the ephemera pieces from the He’s the Man 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper to make a second masculine birthday card.

This paper is amazing — you can make many projects just with the paper alone! You get TWO full sheets of the die-cuts. Here’s my extra card:
