NC Demos Die Dice Challenge

Today I’m hopping with my NC Demo Friends and the theme was Die Dice Challenge. For this Blog Hop, For this type of challenge, the host of the Blog Hop rolls 5 craft-themed die that determine 5 elements that our cards have to have. You may have come from my friend Toni Campana’s Blog, or you might be arriving here first. Be sure to “hop” along through the Roll Call below so you can see all of the projects with this fun theme!

Okay, so let’s look at the dice:

So much fun! Given the Masculine and In-Colors, I knew immediately I wanted to use the Let’s Go Fishing Suite Collection. This suite has 3 of the 5 in-colors in it, and it’s masculine, so I started there. I then did a Fun Fold just showcased by Tami White over on her blog called Double Point Fun Fold. It’s a perfect fold to showcase these fun products — and of course, it has many layers (die #4!)

Here’s my card:

Here’s the inside of this card:

The Wild Wheat card base is a regular A2 size card (5 1/2 x 4 1/4). Before you layer the DSP layer (the lures measuring 4 x 5 1/4), you’ll attach your two paper points. The points are also made out of DSP, 3″ x 4″. To make the point, you score on the long side 1″. Mark a tick mark at 2″ and then score a line from the center mark to the 1″ score line. Fold on the score lines to make a point. You’ll then add glue to the 1″ section and adhere to the top and bottom of the underside of the DSP and then adhere all of that to the card base.

The Boho Blue mats measure 4 x 2 1/2″ – you’ll need two of those. On my card, one mat has Wild Wheat (embossed using Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder – die #5 Embellish!) and is decorated with little lures and bobbins from the Gone Fishing Bundle. The other Boho Blue mat has a piece of Very Vanilla and that was adhered to the inside of the card.

So that the bottom point stays “locked,” I added a smaller piece of Boho Blue with dimensionals underneath the top Boho Blue Mat – the bottom point then tucks between both pieces of Boho Blue to lock in. Here’s a side view:

I love how it turned out. Check out Tami’s blog for a video: https://stampwithtami.com/blog/2023/06/blog-hop-video-double-point-fun-folds/.

Here’s another look at the front:

Mission accomplished! All 5 dies are here. You should try it out!
