Delightfully Eclectic

Nine more days of the Designer Series Paper Sale, and Delightfully Eclectic DSP should be in your cart! I LOVE this paper. It has so many wonderful designs — all different, but coordinating, with a great color combination. Let’s take a look at the papers:

Now, how about this color combination!?

Let’s take a look at today’s card with this paper. Because Delightfully Eclectic designer series paper has amazing patterns on both sides, I wanted to make a card that showed both sides of the paper. I mean, how do you pick which side to add glue to? Oh, the struggles! Here’s my card:

This card pattern is very easy:

  1. Cut your 12 x 12 piece to 12 x 5.25
  2. Score that piece at 2, 4, 8, 10. With a pencil and ruler, measuring from the top of the wide side, on each end make a tick mark at 2 5/8 and make a tick mark. Using your paper trimmer, cut a diagonal from that tick mark to the first score line on both ends (so 2 5/8 up to the 2″ score on the left and 2 5/8 up to the 10″ score on the right). So your card piece looks like this:

3. Fold accordion style on the score lines — choosing which pattern you want on the “inside” and which you want on the outside. The two “wings” on the outside will also be your inside pattern.

4. Decorate, add an inside white layer for writing, and mount onto a card “base” measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to make your A2 size card!

Let’s take a look at the card opened!
