Today I’m hopping with my NC Demo Friends (it’s been a while, ladies!) and this month is all about the new In-Colors and the challenge was to show them off using our favorite coloring technique! You may have come from my friend Jo Anne Hewins’ Blog, or you might be arriving here first. Be sure to “hop” along through the Roll Call below so you can see all of the projects with this fun theme!
First, let’s look at the colors:

I love these colors. They compliment each other nicely, and are fresh and bright, yet soft all at the same time. I haven’t decided yet which is my favorite. I love that Pretty in Pink is back, so for a while, that was my favorite. (Pretty in Pink was a core color many many years ago — a member of the OG Stampin’ Up! Subtles color family). It is wonderful to have this color back because it is a really good “true” pink. I’m really loving the blue and green: Summer Splash and Shy Shamrock are so much fun to have added to the collection. Peach Pie is nice because other than this, we only have Pumpkin Pie in the orange family. Finally, Petunia Pop…okay, winner! This might be my favorite in the mix.
For my cards today, I decided to make the same card design, one in each color, to make some customer thank you cards. [Recent customers, avert your eyes! Although…seeing one in person will be fun, I’m sure!] I wanted to use the new stamp set called My Small Business:

(And, maybe subconsciously, I chose this set because the sample used new In-Colors — BONUS!) I purchased this stamp set because I always need Thank You sentiments in my stash, and it has been quite a few years since I’ve purchased a new Thank You set. It’s a great set, even if you don’t have a small business or customers. I love the present and shopping bag, and I love the “Made with Love” and “Handmade for You” stamps as well. This one may get overlooked because of where it is in the catalog, so check it out!
Enough chatter, here are my cards!

I am also using frames from the Wildflower Designs dies and the greenery is from the Citrus Blooms dies. Let’s take a closer look:

Let’s take a closer look at the center – I love the pop of greenery, and of course, the shopping bag is adorable and I had to add a few glimmer gems for bling!

Don’t forget about decorating the inside and the envelope!

I love how these turned out, and am loving these colors. Love the paper piecing! I used that technique for a friend’s birthday card recently. It’s so much fun! Thanks for sharing!
Kelly, I like that you showed all 5 cards using the new in colors. Nice design.
Great cards, Kelly! Your customers are going to love them! Thank you for sharing!
Great cards love how you used all the colors.
Kelly – Your cards are awesome, and you have convinced me that I need to get the “My Small Business” stamp set! When I read through your thought process on (maybe) choosing a favorite new In Color, I thought you were reading my mind 🙂 I love them all, but do think that Petunia Pop may be my (right now) favorite. Thank you so much for sharing your cards!
Awwww, Thank you Laurie!!
