The Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) team and I are hopping today — here on our blogs, and on Instagram. For this month’s challenge we are CASE’ing a Team Member……… Before we get to that, let’s introduce the AWOW –here’s who we are and where we are in the world:
This month, we were paired up with others (in my case, tripled up) and asked to use a tile game to “get to know each other better” and then create a card CASEing each other based on what we learned. I was paired with Aurélie Fabre and Danielle Kassing. After some tile fun:
and online conversation, we settled on making a card using our favorites. Technique – Embossing (Aurélie), Color – Blue (Danielle), and Product – Designer Series Paper (me!)
For my card, I used product from the Thoughtful Journey Suite by Stampin’ Up!
This is a fun-fold. You start with a 5 1/2 x 11 card base. On one side, mark three inches up from the bottom with a pencil. Cut from that mark to the opposite corner on the other side and cut on the diagonal.
Score at 3″ and 6 3/4″ on the long side starting at the 3″ side. Fold in a Z fold, and decorate!
This suite of products is absolutely gorgeous!
I chose it because of the DSP – the foiled Thoughtful Designed 12 x 12 Specialty Paper is so pretty. But, the Thoughtful Journey 6 x 6 — WOW. It’s a stunner!
I chose the blue tones in this DSP, along with the blue sheet of the foiled DSP to keep with the theme. I used the stamp set to emboss the greeting on the front and the inside panel too. I love LOVE how this turned out, and I hope I did my new friends Danielle and Aurélie justice!
Don’t forget to decorate your envelope too!
